We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced HR Lead to join a corporate Head Office team in Johannesburg, supporting HR operations across multiple branch locations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver an effective People Plan aligned with business strategy and objectives.
- Lead HR best practice across talent acquisition, retention, culture, and organisational development.
- Provide HR leadership, guidance, and support to management and operational teams.
- Implement and monitor HR initiatives to improve employee engagement and business performance.
- Coach line managers on performance management, talent management, and HR processes.
- Manage discipline and dispute resolution processes to reduce organisational risk.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, including unions and relevant industry bodies.
- Identify and report key HR metrics to support decision-making and business improvement.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, internal policies, and ethical HR standards.
- Promote a positive, values-driven and motivated workplace culture.
Requirements:
- 3-year B-degree / NQF Level 7 in HR Management, Commerce, Industrial Psychology (or similar).
- 35 years experience in a similar HR leadership role.
- Motor industry HR experience (advantageous).
- Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen.
- Advanced dispute resolution, coaching, consulting, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong IT, data, risk management, and reporting competence.
- Ability to translate strategy into operational and tactical HR plans.
- Must be willing and able to travel to various branches as required.
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Clear criminal record.
