About the Role

The Industrial Engineer – Manufacturing role is a critical position that ensures enhanced operational efficiency in our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing process improvements, designing strategic plant layouts, and collaborating with management to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Establish standard times for production processes
Design strategic layouts to promote plant-wide efficiency
Participate in various capital expenditure projects throughout the year
Identify and resolve bottlenecks in production
Provide necessary equipment to enhance production efficiency
Analyse workflows to understand systems and processes using Lean tools such as Value Stream Mapping
Assess and modify production layouts to improve efficiency
Optimize work distribution and streamline operations
Collaborate with management to ensure compliance and inform strategic decisions
Conduct time studies to reduce various in-operations
Perform audits to identify and eliminate non-conformances
Monitor and preserve assets to support innovation and asset lifecycle tracking
Promote and embed lean culture in the work environment
Conduct SMED to standardise and improve setup processes
Deliver training based on improvement findings from management
Comply with and enforce all client policies and procedures

Requirements

Computer literacy on MS Office with SAP (advantageous)
Strong project management skills
Time management
Proficiency in utilizing manufacturing process improvement tools such as Value Stream Mapping

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering
Greenbelt Certificate (advantageous)
