About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Legal Secretary to join our team in Parktown North, Gauteng. As a key member of our administrative support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to our attorneys and managing various aspects of our office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with billing and general administration
- Maintaining and updating office files (printing and filing documents)
- Managing attorneys’ diaries, court dates, and consultations
- Following up with Sheriff and correspondent attorneys
- Attending to debt collection matters on behalf of various commercial clients, including Municipalities
- Opening and managing debt collection files
- Issuing letters of demand and section 129 notices
- Drafting and issuing debt collection summonses, default judgments, and warrants/writs of execution
- Following up on payments of legal fees from clients
Requirements
- Grade 12 with 3 years legal secretarial experience
- Valid drivers
- Good computer literacy
- Good communication skills
