About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draughtsperson to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. You will work closely with our Mechanical Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to support project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, general arrangement drawings, and piping layouts
Update and revise existing engineering drawings to reflect modifications, upgrades, and site changes
Participate in design reviews and ensure all drawings comply with engineering standards, codes, and project requirements
Conduct site measurements, inspections, and data collection to support design development

Requirements

National Diploma, N6, or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or Design
Minimum 25 years experience as a Mechanical Draughtsperson in industrial, mining, processing, or manufacturing environments
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar 3D modelling tools
