About the Role

Join our respected lodge operation in Zululand; KwaZulu Natal as a Lead Trails Guide or Apprentice Trails Guide and become part of an established team offering consistent exposure to guided bush walks, game drives, guest hosting, and rotational lodge duties. This role is ideal for guides committed to conservation, exceptional guest experiences, and long-term professional development within Trails guiding.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality guided bush walks, game drives, and guest hosting services
Participate in rotational lodge duties and contribute to the smooth operation of the lodge
Log Trails hours and maintain accurate records
Engage with guests, respond to their needs, and ensure exceptional experiences
Collaborate with senior Trails Guides, mentors, and other team members to achieve shared goals

Requirements

Warm and friendly attitude (non-negotiable)
Grade 12 or equivalent
FGASA Level 1 or 2 with Trails Guide qualification OR actively logging Trails hours (VPDA considered)
First Aid Level 1
Valid Drivers Licence with PDP DEAT / NDT registration
Knowledge of the Zululand region, local culture, and attractions (advantageous)

Qualifications

Formal education/certifications not required

Salary & Benefits

R15;000 – R25;000 per month (based on qualifications and experience)
Single living accommodation with private en suite and lounge area
No shared accommodation
1 meal per day
