About the Role
Qetello Holdings is recruiting on behalf of a leading national logistics and road freight company to fill a New Business Development Consultant position. We are seeking a driven and results-focused professional to support business growth through client acquisition, relationship management, and tailored logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, and prospecting
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Conduct cold calling, arrange meetings, and present logistics solutions to prospective clients
- Client Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Act as the primary point of contact during client onboarding
- Analyse client needs and propose customised logistics and transport solutions
- Sales Strategy & Execution
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals
- Negotiate pricing and service agreements aligned with company objectives
- Close new business opportunities and secure long-term contracts
- Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
- Provide feedback and insights to management on market opportunities and customer needs
- Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate sales activity records on the CRM system
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in sales or business development
- Proven experience within the logistics or transport industry (advantageous)
