About the Role
As a commercial spearhead for our leading courier and road-freight business, you will be responsible for identifying new business leads, building long-term relationships, and driving sales growth. You’ll own the hunt, close deals with confidence, and shape compelling value propositions that meet and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business leads
- Deep-dive into each prospect’s operations to pinpoint where our solutions create measurable value
- Drive the full sales cycle, including outreach, meetings, proposals, and closing
- Negotiate rates and terms aligned with pricing strategy and industry standards
- Complete required documentation and admin to a high standard and on time; maintain CRM hygiene
- Partner with operations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients
- Maintain KYC data accurately and compliantly
Requirements
- 5+ years sales experience in logistics/road freight with a proven record of closing
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and confidence working in CRM
- Core strengths in negotiation, relationship building, planning, and time management
- Commercial curiosity, resilience under pressure, and a goal-driven, proactive mindset
Qualifications
- Matric; a diploma in sales/marketing/business is advantageous
