Job Summary
This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate a team responsible for journal and intercompany processing, including task setting, productivity monitoring, and performance reviews.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures to ensure process consistency and compliance.
- Review and oversee the accurate and complete processing of journals and intercompany transactions across departments.
- Manage monthly intercompany confirmations and ensure timely reconciliation.
- Oversee and resolve financial queries within a two-day turnaround, providing support to internal stakeholders and auditors.
- Support the successful execution of ad-hoc finance projects, including system migrations and process improvements.
- Contribute to accurate and timely monthly operational reporting through detailed financial inputs.
Requirements:
- BCom Accounting or similar
- Completed SAICA Articles would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of intercompany accounting and journal processing
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAGE or Microsoft D365)
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a finance function
- High attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines
