About the Role
Network Finance is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team in Johannesburg North. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for providing strong financial oversight and leadership, partnering with multiple departments to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full finance function including financial reporting, management accounting, and compliance
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts and reporting packs
- Prepare and review income statements and balance sheet reconciliations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Manage high-volume general ledger activity and month-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and statutory requirements
- Maintain oversight of CAPEX, fixed asset registers, and depreciation schedules
- Provide financial insights to support operational departments and business performance
- Lead and manage the finance team while ensuring deadlines and reporting standards are met
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and supporting documentation
- Analyze financial results and present findings to senior finance leadership
Requirements
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities
- Advanced Excel and spreadsheet management skills
- Experience managing high-volume financial reporting environments
- Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under tight reporting deadlines
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage 300 advantageous)
- BCom Degree in Accounting (essential)
- Completed Articles with a professional body (SAICA / SAIPA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ post-articles experience
- Experience in hospitality, entertainment, or high-volume operational environments advantageous
