About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a highly skilled L3 IT Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg North. As an integral member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex IT incidents, as well as supporting and optimizing infrastructure, networks, and systems performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex IT incidents
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
- Support and optimize infrastructure, networks, and systems performance
- Manage critical escalations and liaise with external vendors when required
- Ensure system uptime, stability, and performance improvements
- Drive security best practices, including patching and vulnerability management
- Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of junior engineers
- Participate in strategic IT initiatives such as automation and system upgrades
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Tier 3 / Level 3 IT Support or Infrastructure role
- Strong expertise in advanced troubleshooting across networks, servers, and applications
- Solid understanding of system performance, monitoring, and optimization
- Experience with root cause analysis and problem management
- Knowledge of IT security, patch management, and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently on high-impact, business-critical issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
