About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pastry Chef De Partie to join our Luxury Restaurant in Johannesburg, where creativity, consistency, and excellence are valued above all else. Key Responsibilities

Oversee a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring food preparation and service meet restaurant standards
Assist in the development and execution of new menu items
Maintain high levels of quality, presentation, and portion control
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards
Supervise and support junior kitchen staff where necessary
Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Contribute to maintaining a positive, professional, and efficient working environment

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pastry Chef De Partie within a fine dining or luxury restaurant environment
Recognised culinary qualification or equivalent professional training
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations
Excellent pastry skills with a passion for delivering high-quality dishes to the highest standard
Ability to manage a section independently and maintain consistency during busy service periods

Qualifications

Formal education in Pastry Arts (e.g. National Diploma or equivalent)

Salary & Benefits

Salary: R8,000 – R9,000 per month (negotiable depending on experience)
