About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in Sandton, South Africa. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing procurement processes to ensure efficient operation of our supply chain functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and the Procurement Manager to deliver quality products and services while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Manage and optimize procurement processes to achieve business objectives.
- Source, negotiate, and procure critical goods and services.
- Implement inventory management systems to ensure efficient stock levels.
- Monitor and control costs to maintain budgetary targets.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on received goods and services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the logistics industry.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement processes.
Requirements
- Business Administration degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management.
- Experience with international procurement and global supply chains.
Qualifications
- Formal education in Business Administration or related field.
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary: R 25 000.00 – R 35 000.00 per annum, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
