About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Tester to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by identifying and mitigating defects throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in BRD and FSD reviews to identify testable requirements and documentation gaps
  • Draft detailed test scenarios and prepare comprehensive test cases
  • Review peer test assets to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Set up test data and perform environment readiness checks
  • Execute manual test cases across functional, integration, regression, and UAT phases
  • Provide comprehensive and auditable test evidence
  • Log, track, and retest defects with clear reproduction steps
  • Contribute to go/no-go release decisions and sign-off processes
  • Perform post-implementation validation including smoke and sanity testing
  • Support hypercare activities by monitoring production incidents and retesting patches
  • Participate in retrospectives and suggest improvements to QA processes

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • ISTQB Foundation Level Certification
  • 3 years of testing experience across multiple applications
  • Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks
  • Familiarity with integration and regression testing
  • Experience using test management tools such as JIRA
  • Familiarity with basic SQL queries for data validation
  • Exposure to performance testing and security testing practices

About the Role

We are seeking a mid-level QA Tester with ISTQB Certified to join our client’s IT Business Systems division. As an Intermediate QA Tester, you will play a critical part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions that support core business operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements analysis (BRD/FSD reviews) and identify testable requirements
  • Develop detailed test scenarios and test cases aligned to business needs

  • Log, track, and retest defects with clear documentation and reproduction steps
  • Prepare and maintain regression packs and test documentation
  • Contribute to go/no-go release decisions and support sign-off processes
  • Perform post-implementation validation, smoke, and sanity testing
  • Provide hypercare support and validate production incidents or patches
  • Participate in retrospectives and suggest QA process improvements
