About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced South African contractor to represent our US-based finance consulting firm in Johannesburg, working remotely with US clients. As a key representative of the company, you will be responsible for developing client relationships, supporting business growth initiatives, and providing strategic financial advisory services to clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend virtual client meetings and networking events on behalf of the owner.
• Represent the company professionally in conversations with potential and existing clients.
• Assist in business development, including identifying opportunities and supporting lead generation.
• Follow up with existing clients and maintain accurate records of communications.
• Use your accounting/finance background to understand client needs and explain how the company services can help.
• Provide input on business opportunities and client strategy.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management.
• Background in accounting, finance, or a related field sufficient to understand client needs and articulate value.
• Clear, professional English communication, with an accent that is easily understood by US clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable representing the owner in high-level client meetings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional presence.

Qualifications

No formal education or certifications are required for this role. However, a background in accounting or finance is highly advantageous in order to understand client needs and communicate how the company services can assist the client.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this part-time remote position is negotiable based on experience. The contractor will work approximately 5-10 hours per week (maximum ~40 hours per month) with US business hours, roughly 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM SAST (aligns with 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM US ET/PT).
