About the Role
The Retail Stores Manager will be responsible for overseeing all GP Stores, ensuring their smooth operation, and driving sales growth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and leverage your skills in retail management.
Key Responsibilities
• General Management of all GP Stores
• Traveling between stores as required
• Repairs and Maintenance of Stores
• Human Resources (HR)
• Interviewing candidates for potential store employees
• Signing of Contracts with new staff members
• Issuing of Warnings
• Resolving Issues with Managers and staff
• Commission Calculations
• Arranging for Suppliers to train staff on new or existing ranges
• Implementing new systems to improve efficiency
• Marketing
• Building up a client database within the stores
- For contacting on promotions
- For back orders for stock still to arrive
• Liaising with Marketing department for events and marketing strategies
- Attending of events to sell products and market the brands
- Create a schedule of events to be attended throughout the year
- Coordinate marketing in-store with online and social media marketing
• Operations
• Ensuring all staff know company procedures and policies
• Coordinating repairs of products for clothing, watches, sunglasses, etc.
• Monitoring all communications groups between staff and ensuring compliance with company policies
• Ensuring store managers report monthly checklists for issues in-store that need to be fixed or replaced
• Overseeing contractors used in-store and ensuring they comply with the company’s wishes
• Stock
• Ensuring managers are accountable for stock takes or cycles counts done in-store
• Ensuring managers are accountable for stock requisitions and IBT’s sent and received from stores
• Ensuring managers are accountable for all items being priced accurately against the system within the stores
• Conducting monthly stock takes and reporting on stock aging and fulfilment reports
• Sales
• Setting financial year budgets linked to store budgets and sales targets
• Monitoring Sales Team’s targets and helping staff members reach their targets
• Reporting any reasons why sales team can’t meet their targets to management
• Training of Staff in Products/Selling/Processes
• Handling Customer Queries/Stock Requests/Complaints in a timely manner
Requirements
• Pastel Evolution software proficiency
• Excel skills
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to work retail hours
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans
• Knowledge and experience in sales of exclusive brands
• Valid Driver’s License
