About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Sales Business Development Engineer with expertise in Process Equipment, to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing business strategies to expand our presence in the Mining and Process Equipment industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities for Process equipment to the Minerals industry
- Develop and deliver value-added solutions to clients, leveraging knowledge of plant design and operations
- Manage large Capital equipment tenders, including negotiation, risk assessment, performance guarantees, and overall risk management
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and their applications in the Mining industry
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver written technical proposals and reports
- Provide budgeting and financial modeling support for sales initiatives
- Travel extensively within South Africa and internationally to meet with clients and promote our products
Requirements
- A Degree/Diploma in Engineering, with preference in Process Engineering or Metallurgy
- Minimum of 5 years Sales/Management experience in similar position in Mining/Process Equipment or Consulting Engineering environment
- Proven track record in a leadership position with sales of Process equipment to the Minerals industry (preference on Coal/DMS Plant)
- Specific knowledge of Processing equipment, including Jigs, UCC, DMS, and Sensor Sorting
- Ability to identify and provide value-added solutions

- Formal education/certifications in Engineering or related field
