About the Role

The Sales Engineer-Filtration role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for driving product sales and market development across South Africa. The ideal candidate will leverage their market knowledge and sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, while building strong relationships with clients and contributing to the company’s marketing and sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Product Sales: Actively promote and sell the full range of current and future filtration products
  • Market Development: Work closely with the sales team to identify and penetrate new markets
  • Sales Forecasting and Planning: Regularly update and maintain accurate sales forecasts and resource planning data
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with clients
  • Proposal and Tender Preparation: Develop comprehensive and compelling equipment proposals and tenders
  • Cost Estimation: Factor historical data for budget proposals, review of pricings received from the costing department and sub-suppliers for fixed and firm tenders
  • Site Inspections: Participate in site inspections related to sales activities
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve any discrepancies or issues raised by clients
  • Tender Follow-Up: Manage the follow-up process for tenders
  • Tender Feedback Documentation: Collect and document feedback on tenders
  • Marketing and Sales Support: Contribute to and support the company’s marketing and sales initiatives
  • Technical Documentation: Compile and prepare detailed test work reports, process flow sheets, and P&IDs
  • Equipment Sizing and Selection: Perform detailed equipment sizing and selection based on project requirements and specifications
  • Sales Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales prospects, opportunities, and market trends
  • Commissioning and Optimization: Assist in the commissioning and optimization of equipment
  • Client Presentations: Deliver engaging and informative presentations to clients
  • Test Work Oversight: Oversee and execute laboratory and pilot plant test work
  • Supplier Interaction: Prepare and issue enquiry documents to suppliers and conduct thorough technical and commercial evaluations
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with both local and international suppliers
