About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Scaffold Supervisor to oversee scaffolding operations, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and manage scaffold teams on-site in Johannesburg’s Eastern Suburbs. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating scaffold erection, inspections, dismantling activities, and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling activities on-site.
- Ensure all scaffolding work complies with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Conduct daily scaffold inspections and complete inspection reports.
- Coordinate scaffold teams and allocate daily tasks effectively.
- Ensure proper use of scaffolding equipment and PPE.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Liaise with site management, contractors, and clients regarding scaffold requirements.
- Monitor productivity and ensure project deadlines are achieved.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings with scaffold teams.
- Maintain accurate records of scaffold materials and site activities.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Valid Scaffold Supervisor certification.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ scaffolding supervisory experience in industrial or construction environments.
- Knowledge of scaffolding safety standards and regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage teams effectively.
- Valid driver’s license will be advantageous.
