About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Seafreight Forwarding Controller to join their team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in seafreight forwarding and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate seafreight shipments from inception to delivery
- Develop and implement efficient logistics solutions to meet client needs
- Lead a team of Forwarding Clerks to achieve business objectives
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategy
- Maintain accurate records and reports on shipment status and performance
Requirements
- 5 years experience in a similar role within the freight forwarding industry
- Strong knowledge of seafreight forwarding processes and procedures
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
