About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuary to join our team in Johannesburg, where you will play a key role across the full actuarial control cycle, working closely with business stakeholders to translate analytical outcomes into clear commercial insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and monitor actuarial and pricing models across the full actuarial control cycle
- Plan and implement model and system changes, including impact and sensitivity analysis
- Translate actuarial outputs into clear insights on profitability, pricing, and policy growth
- Analyse and reconcile data from multiple sources to ensure accurate modelling and reporting
- Manage key metrics, including the value of new business, embedded value, and product profitability
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and support decision making
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and innovative actuarial solutions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and professional actuarial standards
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field
- Nearly / newly qualified Actuary (minimum 12 exams)
- Experience: 3 years’ actuarial experience within the financial services or insurance industry (essential)
