About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their finance team and assist with operational projects. The ideal candidate values stability in the role and is looking for a long-term opportunity to cement themselves within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing of all monthly accounts to Trial Balance (Multi Currency)
- Preparing the necessary bank reconciliations on all accounts (Multi Currency)
- Debtors and Creditors processing (Multi Currency) and balancing
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies when identified
- Ensure proper recognition of revenue and expenses
- Processing journal entries and perform accounting corrections to ensure accurate records.
- Preparation of audit files for annual audits
- Work with and liaise with auditors regarding the Annual Financial Statements
- Efficient filing of supporting documentation for expenses, income and other transactions
- FSC Reporting as required for (re)insurance brokers
Requirements
- 3 – 5 years experience within similar role in the Insurance Industry
- Sage Accounting & Payroll experience
- Online Banking experience
- Excel skills
- Knowledge of SARS / MRA taxes and filings
- Attention to detail
- Computer literate (Office 365, Teams, Shared Documents on One Drive etc)
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English
- Ability to prioritise the workload to manage needs of staff and management simultaneously
- Deadline driven
- Punctual
- Self-motivated and well organised
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to accept delegated task
