About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Controller/Abattoir Manager to join our team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety in our abattoir environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular quality control checks on meat products
- Implement and enforce HACCP and ISO standards
- Maintain accurate records and reports on quality control and food safety metrics
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for non-conforming products
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality control and food safety procedures
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Meat Technology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in meat processing or abattoir environment
- Experience in quality control or food safety systems
- Familiarity with HACCP and ISO standards
- Must have experience especially within the RED MEAT industry
