About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead and manage mechanical and process-related projects in the mineral processing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, mechanical design, and fabrication, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical and process-related projects in line with scope, budget, quality, and schedule requirements
- Oversee engineering deliverables related to thickeners, screens, and associated mechanical systems
- Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure effective project execution
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and internal governance standards
- Provide accurate project reporting to senior management and clients
Requirements
- BEng in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
- Extensive experience managing projects involving thickeners and screens within mineral processing or related industrial environments
- Proven track record in end-to-end project management
- Strong understanding of mechanical design, fabrication, installation, and integration of process equipment
- Solid commercial and contractual awareness, including cost control, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering)
