Overview Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Consultant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT sales and business development, with a proven ability to identify opportunities, build lasting relationships, and drive revenue growth. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who can strategically position IT products and services within the market to maximise business potential. Previous experience in the IT industry is essential. Purpose of the Role The Senior Sales Consultant will be responsible for generating new sales of software and related IT solutions. This includes managing the complete sales lifecycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals, while maintaining strong client relationships and identifying new business and upsell opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Sales Apply proven sales methodologies to generate new business from existing and prospective clients. Conduct cold calls, email outreach, and other prospecting activities. Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations. Participate in marketing campaigns, conferences, and webinars to promote offerings and updates. Prepare proposals, respond to RFPs, and develop business cases and ROI analyses. Research market and industry trends to identify new opportunities Account Management Build and maintain long-term client relationships. Conduct regular account review meetings and gather feedback. Resolve customer issues through investigation, solution development, and reporting. Manage licensing renewals, true-ups, quotes, and invoicing. Provide business consulting and strategic support to clients. Identify and pursue upselling opportunities. Vendor Management Attend partner meetings and webinars. Build and maintain vendor relationships. CRM and Reporting Capture and manage all leads, opportunities, and quotes in Dynamics 365. Customise and configure Dynamics 365 as needed. Develop Power BI dashboards and reports. Produce weekly and monthly sales and account performance reports REQUIREMENTS 25 years of quota-carrying sales experience. Proven record of exceeding sales targets. Experience working with CRM systems (Dynamics 365 preferred). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Own reliable transport and ability to travel to client sites. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong analytical and financial skills, particularly in Excel (tested during the selection process). Knowledge of IT platforms, networks, Microsoft environments, and cloud services. SKILLS Strong interpersonal and networking abilities to build and maintain stakeholder relationships. A strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed in technology sales. Confident, professional, and adaptable with a proactive mindset. Excellent business acumen and presentation skills. Attention to detail with strong problem-solving and negotiation capabilities. Effective time management and follow-up skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Salary – R35 000 plus commission

Job Specifics: On-site Travel required – client visits Location: Sandton, JHB A motivated Senior Sales Consultant is needed to drive sales of software solutions to SMEs and corporates in the legal sector, both locally and internationally. The role involves managing the full sales cycle, conducting product demonstrations, providing tailored solutions, and maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Achieve sales targets by generating and nurturing leads, conducting demos, and closing deals. Maintain accurate sales records, manage client feedback, and resolve any order issues. Communicate regularly with management, clients, and internal teams on sales progress and product enhancements. Contribute to marketing efforts and provide input for product improvements. Requirements: 3 years of experience in a senior sales or business development role. Prior experience in software or solution sales – B2B. Experience in the legal industry or professional services sector advantageous. Demonstrated success in managing and closing complex sales.
