About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Senior Systems Developer to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications. If you have a passion for low-level coding skills and are interested in working with older technologies, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain C++ applications on Ubuntu Linux
- Design, develop and maintain Rust applications on Ubuntu Linux
- Maintain Java applications on Ubuntu Linux (depending on candidate’s skill set)
- MySQL database management and maintenance
- Redeveloping existing systems using newer technologies
- Stand-by for Client production environments will be required (after initial probation / settling in period)
Requirements
• Solid C development experience
• Interest to work with older technologies that require low-level coding skills
• Solid understanding of number systems (binary, hexadecimal, decimal) and data manipulation (bitwise operations, etc.)
• Good code analysis skills
• Ability to work independently
