About the Role
Our client, a reputable reinsurance company located in Johannesburg North, is seeking a Facultative Underwriting Support Administrator to join their administrative and support function. The successful candidate will assist the current Fac underwriting team with admin tasks, enabling them to focus on growing the business, servicing clients, and contributing towards the company’s strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage declensions, new risks, and renewals within client online systems/software; ensure accurate cancellation of risks and verify premium payments.
- Ensure accurate internal use of systems and adhere to established procedures for audit purposes.
- Data check, clean, and capture; maintain data in the accumulation control system; complete the risk registration process, submit to underwriters to price.
- Run exception reports to check data quality and correct data where required.
- Accurate filing and record-keeping of all documentation within scope of control, including but not limited to the risk submission, perils pricing report.
- Assist with archiving on the relevant document management system as per relevant guidelines where needed.
- Timely and accurate delivery of signed policy slips and endorsements.
- Liaise with relevant underwriter(s) to determine if the contract can be signed.
- Capture information accurately upon registration and/or update details as per subsequent endorsement.
Requirements
- Undergraduate qualification in Business Administration, Economics, or related fields (a focus on economic subjects is an advantage)
- Minimum 0-3 years working experience within an administration environment
