About the Role
Our client, a reputable reinsurance company located in Johannesburg North, is seeking a Facultative Underwriting Support Administrator to join their administrative and support function. This role will provide an opportunity for a graduate or career starter to grow into an underwriter, while building foundational skillset required for the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage declensions, new risks, and renewals within client online systems/software;
- Ensure accurate cancellation of risks and verify premium payments;
- Accurately internal use of systems and adhere to established procedures for audit purposes;
- Data check, clean, and capture; maintain data in the accumulation control system;
- Complete the risk registration process, submit to underwriters to price;
- Run exception reports to check data quality and correct data where required;
- Accurate filing and record-keeping of all documentation within scope of control;
- Assist with archiving on the relevant document management system as per guidelines;
- Timely and accurate delivery of signed policy slips and endorsements;
- Liaise with underwriters to determine if contracts can be signed;
- Capture information accurately upon registration and/or update details as per subsequent endorsement.
Requirements
- Undergraduate qualification in Business Administration, Economics, or related fields (a focus on economic subjects is an advantage);
- Minimum 0-3 years working experience within an administration environment;
- Ability to pay attention to detail for accurate work;
- Contribute effectively towards team and organizational outcomes;
- Demonstrate accountability for deliverables within scope of work and adhere to deadlines;
- Analytical thinking and ability to grasp numerical concepts.
