About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our technical leadership, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that meet business demands, while ensuring scalability and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results and drive technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead solution design activities for business demands, retrospective solutions, and artifact creation and verification.
Coordinate technical building activities during the execution and delivery phases.
Own and facilitate the creation of technical documentation required for Service Introduction and operational handover.
Provide technical guidance and issue resolution to project and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Support project planning and resourcing activities from a technical perspective.
Lead or support vendor-led sprints to deliver functionality using agile delivery practices.

Requirements

Strong technical background in application and cloud-based infrastructure architecture.
Solid understanding of mining technical systems and operational technology.
Extensive experience in system integration, particularly between Source Systems and data reporting layers.
Comfortable operating in dynamic environments where requirements evolve over time.
Good understanding of the mining value chain and associated business processes.

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent proven experience in Solution Architecture.
Experience in Data Architecture is desirable.
Relevant solution architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF, Microsoft Azure certifications).
