Job Summary
Are you a data-driven problem solver with a passion for fighting fraud?
We are looking for a skilled Fraud Data Scientist to enhance our Transactional Fraud Mitigation services. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in balancing seamless customer experiences with robust fraud prevention on real-time electronic payment platforms.
What You’ll Do:
- Leverage data, machine learning, and statistical techniques to improve fraud detection.
- Design algorithms and real-time decision systems to flag high-risk transactions.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain national-level fraud detection models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure fraud risks are minimized without disrupting the customer journey.
- Use advanced computing, data engineering, and scientific methods to deliver proactive fraud solutions.
What You’ll Need:
- A degree (Honours, Masters, or PhD) in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Experience in machine learning, decision models, and data engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, RStudio, SQL, Oracle, Hadoop, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in fraud detection models, prescriptive/statistical modeling, and big data analytics.
- At least 5 years of data science experience, preferably in the financial industry focusing on payment fraud.
