Job Description
The Group Accountant will play a key role in supporting the group finance function, with a strong focus on IFRS compliance, group reporting, inventory accounting, and lease accounting.
You will work closely with senior finance leadership to ensure accurate, timeous financial information while contributing to ongoing improvements in reporting standards and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of group financial reports in compliance with IFRS
- Supporting group consolidations and reporting packs
- Accounting for inventory within a highvolume environment
- Management and reporting of leases (IFRS 16)
- Assisting with audit processes and yearend reporting
- Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial controls across the group
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Qualification:
CA(SA) – nonnegotiable
- Experience:
Proven experience in group accounting and IFRS reporting
Exposure to inventoryintensive operations
Background in manufacturing or retail highly advantageous
- Systems:
Experience working on SAP
- Skills:
Strong technical accounting and analytical capability
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills
