About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans that drive business objectives. The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring product availability, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives
- Forecast demand and plan inventory levels to ensure product availability
- Identify risks and develop contingency plans
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective contracts
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations
- Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements
- Track key supply chain metrics (cost, quality, delivery, inventory)
- Prepare and present reports to senior management
