Johannesburg: Technical Business Analyst

As a Technical Business Analyst , youll play a key role in bridging business needs and technical delivery driving requirements, data mapping, and functional documentation for complex software development projects. Youll work closely with developers, product owners, and clients to ensure every feature is technically sound and business-aligned. Key Responsibilities: Engage with business stakeholders to define functional and integration requirements for new features and enhancements. Conduct data mapping, API analysis, and integration validation using tools such as Postman or SOAPUI. Provide technical guidance to software development teams within sprints and support feature delivery. Conduct functional testing, manage defect triage, and ensure alignment with business expectations. Maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and support deployment and release processes. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a Technical Business Analyst or similar technical role. Proven experience in software development environments, preferably within financial services or FinTech. Skills: Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, and data mapping. Familiarity with tools such as SOAPUI, Postman, and JIRA. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to guide development teams and contribute to sprint planning. Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to work collaboratively under pressure.
