About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join our team in Bedfordview, Gauteng. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing our sales team, and developing strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new sales
- Day-to-day management of the sales team, ensuring they are on track for achieving KPIs
- Setting sales and marketing KPIs to manage activity within the team
- Working with the Executive Council on sales plan and approaches to building revenue
- Training the sales team on sales techniques and giving advice
- Ensuring the sales team update the CRM effectively with all appropriate data
- Performance managing underperforming members of the sales team
- Overseeing all marketing activity and ensuring it fits with the marketing strategy
- Sending marketing emails to customers via the CRM
- Overseeing the company’s social media accounts and website and posting relevant content
- Creating marketing content
- Arranging for the company to attend relevant industry events and conferences
- Reporting to the company directors on activities toward targets
- Researching potential target industries and customers
- Attending meetings with customers alongside sales consultants
- Putting together a content marketing strategy for the company
- Ensuring the company is Search Engine Optimized to maximize inbound sales opportunities
- Addressing the needs of the Division, Establishing New Team Members, Development, Opportunity and Policies and Procedures
- Implementing structure to the Sales Department, revising current standards and procedures
- Performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to meet their needs
Requirements
- Matric
- Relevant Studies / Certificates
- 5 years of experience as a Technical Sales Manager/Sales Manager with experience in the IT Sector or within an IT Technical Sales Manager role
- Experience as a Sales Manager (non-negotiable)
- Valid driver’s license
