– Ensure that warehouse operates at peak efficiency- by making sure it is organised, training warehouse employees where needed and managing operational goals – Ensuring that SOPs are being followed – Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day to day operational issues and reach short and long term performance goals – Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics – Review and prepare work flows and space allocations – Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing company standards and procedures – Ensure that the inventory system is up to date Assistant planning – Assist production manager and ensure that packaging is prepared – Be able to work closely with production manager to ensure quick turn around of products – Report any issues that might cause a delay – Be able to understand all processes and activities in terms of planning production – Assist in planning and pushing where gaps are noticed – Working together with the whole team to obtain the same objective great customer service but of the highest quality – Planning and placing order requests for packaging required for orders where needed Responsibilities : · Supervise Daily warehouse activities , getting involved where hands are needed not afraid to lift boxes and work with team · Ensuring Quality of goods entering warehouse is up to standard as per retention samples · Ensuring the correct amount of packaging is received as per order and reporting such · Managing a team of warehouse employees and ensuring they all are working efficiently · Organising warehouse in a logical manner, inventory control , shipping, preparing orders for international and local clients. · Making sure that inflow is up to date · Preparing Stock on hand reports to clients (SOH) , ensuring they make sense and are correct making sure warehouse team has given correct information · Preparing picking lists as per orders and making sure that the stock is prepared in advance for orders in months ahead · Ensuring GRNS are captured timeously and the relevant paperwork handed over to accounts · Ensuring paperwork is filled out accurately · Able to communicate with the team efficiently · Able to communicate with clients where packaging issues arise, so they can provide the correct packaging · Preparing packaging in advance according to picking lists and alerting client and or suppliers so that issues can be rectified before production commences · Communicating to production manager and team where there are issues Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably within packaging, FMCG, or manufacturing Experience handling packaging materials (e.g., bottles, cartons, labels, closures) Previous supervisory or team leadership experience Technical Skills Strong understanding of warehouse processes (receiving, storage, picking, dispatch) Inventory management and stock control experience Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems Knowledge of health & safety standards and compliance requirements Understanding of packaging handling and storage requirements Soft Skills Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organisational and time management abilities Attention to detail and accuracy Problem-solving and decision-making skills Effective communication and stakeholder coordination Preferred / Advantageous Experience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or FMCG environments Knowledge of GMP or ISO standards Forklift licence or equipment handling certification Experience with packaging quality control processes
