We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team, specialising in the design and development of conveyor and materials handling systems. The successful candidate will be involved in projects from concept through to manufacture, installation, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop conveyor systems (belt, roller, chain, screw, etc.) for industrial applications
• Produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models
• Perform calculations for drives, structures, bearings, shafts, and power transmission
• Select appropriate components, materials, and manufacturing methods
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams
• Support manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, safety regulations, and project specifications
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience designing conveyor or materials handling systems
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD)
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
