Johannesburg West: Senior Financial Accountant posted by Network Finance

This role sits at the heart of a growing international business, reporting directly to senior leadership and acting as the financial backbone of the operation. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end financial control, real-time reporting, and ensuring the business stays compliant, audit-ready, and financially sharp at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Own daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times
• Manage cash flow reporting, payments, and oversight of debtors and creditors
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts within strict deadlines
• Oversee payroll checks, statutory submissions, and regulatory compliance
• Maintain accurate asset, stock, and financial registers
• Support audits, respond to audit queries, and ensure clean audit outcomes
• Lead and support the finance team, driving accountability and performance
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, ISO standards, and data protection requirements
• Continuously identify process improvements to strengthen efficiency and financial health

Job Experience and Skills Required

• BCom or BCompt in Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Accountant or Senior Accountant role
• Strong technical accounting and reporting capability
• Proven experience managing month-end, budgeting, forecasting, and audits
• Confident working closely with senior management and operational teams
• Strong cash flow, compliance, and control mindset
• High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure
• Advanced Excel and accounting system proficiency
• Leadership ability with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
