Hire Resolves client in the Engineering industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Rock Engineer in Kathu, in the Southern Kalahari.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized integrated geotechnical expertise to the mine
• Manage geotechnical investigations and ensure structural stability of residue deposits, waste dumps, and stockpiles
• Implement business intelligence and trend analysis within function
• Plan, implement, control, and monitor approved changes
• Input into functional planning and demonstrate awareness of macro and microeconomic factors
• Manage people development and identify training gaps
• Oversee internal and external relations management
• Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, Quality (SHERQ) and related compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science / BTech in Rock Engineering / Geology / Mining
• Certificate in Rock Mechanics (Rock Engineering)
• A minimum of seven (7) years operational Rock Engineering experience
• Three (3) years operational middle management experience
• Valid Code CI driver’s license
• Legal appointment 2.13.1 as per the Mine Health and Safety Act
• Accreditation and registration with SANIRE South African National Institute of Rock Engineering

Report Location: Kathu, Southern Kalahari.

Annual Salary: Salary Negotiable.
