Job Summary

Senior AccountantR 30 000 Knysna, WCAn established and growing group of companies within the construction and property development sector is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of the full financial function across multiple entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.RequirementsMatric (Grade 12)BCom Degree in Accounting (Honors advantageous)Completed SAICA or SAIPA articlesMinimum of 35 years’ post-article experience in a similar roleProficient in Sage Online Accounting and Microsoft ExcelSolid understanding of SARS e-filing processes (VAT, EMP submissions)Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken)Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicleStrong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to work independentlyDuties & ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain full accounting records for a group of companiesPrepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reportsSubmit VAT and EMP returns timeously using SARS e-filingPerform monthly reconciliations and ensure financial complianceLiaise with external auditors, banks, and service providersSupport the Director with budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial input.
