Hire Resolve’s client, a leading mining company, is currently seeking a skilled Chargehand Mechanic to join their team based in the Northern Cape.

Requirements:

– Senior Certificate (Grade 12)

– Mechanic/Auto Electrician Trade Test

– N3 Certificate in Engineering

– Dover B Symbol   

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Ensure equipment availability and reliability by applying maintenance management systems and resources to meet production targets. Track progress and assess job outcomes.

– Oversee and inspect daily activities of subordinates, providing coaching and on-the-job training to maintain compliance with organisational maintenance standards.

– Manage team performance and resolve conflicts effectively.

– Execute team operational plans to achieve defined objectives, working collaboratively with other teams within and associated with the department.

– Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

– Recognise and report unsafe or hazardous conditions in the workplace.

– Actively participate in safety meetings.

– Coordinate maintenance activities, including statutory inspections and audits by both internal and external service providers.

– Ensure timely execution of scheduled and unscheduled mechanical repairs, inspections, and installation tasks as required.
