Duties:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, network, and desktop issues
- Perform regular system backups and updates
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications
- Assemble PCs and replace components
- Setup user accounts, video conferencing tools, and manage IT assets
- Support printer, finance software, and Plant IT systems
- Conduct preventive IT maintenance and ensure IT security compliance
- Maintain helpdesk systems and generate reports
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- FET Certificate in PC Support / PC Engineering / IT: Technical Support / NC: IT: Systems Support (NQF Level 4-6)
- Solid knowledge of Windows 10 and newer, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, Active Directory, and CompTIA A+ and N+. Advantageous certifications include MCDST and CompTIA Security+, with basic PLC knowledge seen as a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ hands-on IT support experience
- Must pass a practical IT competency test during the recruitment process
