Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior R&D Scientist to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading R&D projects, developing new products, and improving existing products to meet market demands and regulatory standards. This role requires a strong background in scientific research, product development, and project management.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage R&D projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timely and successful delivery of new and improved products. Conduct research to identify new ingredients, technologies, and processes that can be applied to product development. Develop and optimize product formulations, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on product development goals and timelines. Design and execute experiments, analyse data, and interpret results to make informed decisions on product development. Stay updated on industry trends, scientific advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant. Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders. Mentor and provide guidance to junior R&D staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Ensure all R&D activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Skills: Excellent project management skills – with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Keen eye for detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Qualifications: Masters or Ph.D. degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in R&D, with a proven track record of successful product development. Strong knowledge of product formulation, ingredient functionality, and food processing technologies.
