About the Role
The General Manager (Stone Fruit Production) is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of our stone fruit production facility in Ladismith. The successful candidate will be expected to drive organisational goals, manage staff, and ensure the effective execution of annual production plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing organisational goals and strategic direction
- Full staff management, including development and performance oversight
- Annual production planning and execution
- Managing and controlling all production activities
- Cost-effective management of production-related processes
- Compiling and managing annual budgets
- Implementing and improving systems and processes
- Quality control and maintaining high standards
- Overseeing all production-related administration
- Ensuring sound management practices across all departments
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Agriculture or a related field
- Proven track record in production management (stone fruit production experience)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
