About the Role
The Recruitment Guy is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our client’s manufacturing plant in Ladysmith. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical maintenance, fault-finding, repair, and optimisation of plant equipment
- Electrical support to high-temperature furnaces, instrumentation, and control systems
- Medium-voltage switching and isolation (up to 11kV)
- PLC fault-finding and basic programming (Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta)
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings
- Breakdown response, standby duties, and planned maintenance
- Supervisory support and weekly progress reporting
Requirements
- Trade Tested Electrician
- N4 Electrical Qualification
- Wiremans Licence (essential)
- Minimum 4-5 years post trade-test industrial experience
- High-temperature furnace instrumentation exposure
- 11kV switching experience
