5* Game Lodge in Madikwe is seeking a professional; guest-focused Trails Guide who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and is passionate about delivering exceptional safari experiences by conducting game drives and bush walks. Duties: Present at main lodge 30min before wake-up call to prepare coffee for guests Wake up call to guests and hosting guests for morning coffee Conducting morning game drives Following up with reception on any changes on the Day Sheet Aware of guests’ dietary requirement and communicate with the kitchen regarding snacks on game drive (Lactose, gluten, vegetarian, vegan, etc.) Meeting guests on arrival, taking luggage to the rooms, parking guests’ vehicles Greeting guests on departure, fetching guests’ vehicles and doing luggage Hosting guests at high tea Conducting afternoon game drives Airstrip clearing, pick up and drop offs while following Federal Air protocol Conducting bush walks Communicate ETA’s with lodge via parks board radio channel Follow and ethically communicate on appropriate groups Ensure vehicle and equipment is always in good condition Ensure contents of First Aid kit is complete and not expired Ensure rifle is always signed in and out of safe and clean Report any faulty equipment to head guide Conducting kids activities Assist with maintenance when needed Requirements: At least 3 4 years experience at a 4 / 5* lodge FGASA Trails Guide (NQF2/NQF4) Viewing Potentially Dangerous Animals (VPDA) FGASA Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) FGASA Nature Site Guide (NQF4) PDP First Aid (preferably Wilderness orientated) Department of Tourism registered (DEDECT) for Madikwe Game Reserve SAPS Firearm Competency SASSETA 117705 / 119651 / 123519 or Licence to possess a firearm CATHSETA certified FGASA Advanced Astronomy FGASA Biome Guide FGASA Bird Guide FGASA Guiding Butterflies and Moths Cybertracker Track & Sign / Tracker / Trailing
