About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Gatekeeper/Stock Controller to join our team in Milnerton. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate tracking and management of stock movements, as well as maintaining high levels of product traceability and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive finished products from production and verify quantities against production records.
  • Accurately record all stock movements between production and Finished Goods.
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies immediately.
  • Maintain accurate stock records at all times.
  • Complete and maintain all stock transfer documentation accurately.
  • Complete pallet cards are attached to FG pallets, batch records are displayed.
  • Maintain full product and batch traceability records.
  • Verify that all Bills of Materials (BOMs) are correct and accurately reflect the products manufactured.
  • Ensure production orders are correctly backflushed (BOM processed) in the Pick System before stock is transferred to Finished Goods.
  • Ensure all pallets and finished products have been inspected, approved, and signed off by Quality before acceptance into Finished Goods.
  • Regularly lift, move, and repack pallets from plastic pallets to wooden pallets with bags weighing up to 25kg.
  • Repack pallets according to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Ensure pallets are correctly wrapped, labelled, and secured.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in stock control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and backflushing processes.
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
