Mbombela: Junior Automation Engineer

Job & Company Description: Engineering and automation company specializing in industrial automation, custom fabrication, and turnkey solutions for manufacturing and agricultural sectors. What Youll Do: Draft and implement PLC logic (Phoenix Contact, Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, Omron, ABB, etc.). Develop and configure SCADA/HMI interfaces and dashboards. Perform onsite commissioning, FAT, SAT, and system integration. Troubleshoot automation hardware and communication issues (I/O faults, sensors, VFDs, encoders, comms buses). Interpret electrical diagrams, P&IDs, and loop drawings. Implement industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, MQTT). Ensure compliance with safety standards and risk assessments. Prepare documentation (functional specs, manuals, IO lists, as-builts). Education National Diploma / BTech in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Process Instrumentation. Experience & Skills 03 years relevant experience. Solid understanding of PLC basics, ladder logic, instrumentation fundamentals, sensors, motors, VSDs. Willingness to travel and work onsite. Apply Now!
