About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our DevOps team in Menlyn, South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Central Ordering applications, delivering high-quality solutions independently and on time, while also providing production support and collaborating with business users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Central Ordering applications within a DevOps team
- Deliver high-quality solutions independently and on time
- Provide production support, including standby (after-hours, weekends, public holidays on rotation)
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to user story refinement and sizing
- Engage with business users to understand requirements and propose solutions
- Ensure code quality through compliance, unit testing, and best practices
- Identify and resolve risks/impediments proactively
- Present solutions to Product Owners and maintain technical documentation (ISO standards)
- Collaborate and share knowledge across teams
Requirements
- Essential skills in Java Spring Boot
- Proficiency in Angular & Node.js (TypeScript & JavaScript)
- Experience with SQL (Oracle / PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with Git & GitHub (CI/CD pipelines)
- Knowledge of Kafka & JMS (MQ)
- Experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure
Qualifications
- IT Degree / Diploma or equivalent experience
- 35 years Java (Spring Boot) development experience
