Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Contract Management
- Support the review of agreements from a commercial and risk perspective.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, variations, terminations, and scope changes.
- Ensure contracts are commercially, legally, and operationally sound through cross-functional collaboration.
- Analyse contract profitability, scope adherence, and potential commercial leakages.
- Manage commercial risks including penalties, liabilities, and contractual exposure.
- Track contract renewals and ensure timely execution of extensions and increases.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date contract repository and documentation system.
Bid & Tender Support
- Provide bid support for proposals and tenders, including commercial input and documentation preparation.
- Assist in gathering technical, financial, and operational inputs for bids.
- Review tender terms and conditions including pricing, payment, and legal clauses.
- Support bid strategy discussions and opportunity qualification with sales teams.
- Assist in securing bid bonds and ensuring compliance with internal bid governance requirements.
Revenue Growth & Sales Support
- Collaborate with sales teams to support revenue growth initiatives.
- Monitor tender and bid progress, ensuring timely updates and tracking.
- Support annual price increases, contract renewals, and commercial adjustments.
- Liaise with finance to ensure accurate invoicing, pricing application, and payment tracking.
- Support onboarding and performance monitoring of partners and service providers.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Respond to customer queries, clarifications, and contract-related requests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Support contract finalisation discussions and negotiations with customers.
- Provide updates during escalations and ensure timely communication.
- Develop opportunities to improve customer efficiency through commercial insight and business case support.
Governance & Reporting
- Support governance processes for contracts, proposals, and commercial documentation.
- Prepare and submit performance reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure reporting standards are maintained across all commercial activities.
- Track and report on project and contract performance on a regular basis.
Partner & Service Provider Management
- Support onboarding and vetting of new partners and service providers.
- Monitor and track partner and supplier performance.
- Ensure alignment with commercial agreements and service expectations.
General Administration & Support
- Maintain structured filing systems for all contracts, agreements, and proposals.
- Manage ad hoc commercial tasks and administrative support requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance frameworks, and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.

Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Head of Commercial
- No direct reports
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Management, Commerce, or related field (preferred).
Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial management or contract management.
- Experience in a customer-facing and stakeholder-driven environment.
- Exposure to international business environments advantageous.
- Experience in commercial or government-related sectors preferred.
Technical Skills
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong understanding of commercial systems and reporting tools.
