About the Role
The Cyber Security Solutions Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing cyber security solutions that protect critical assets across the markets, Hub and AWS. This role is a key part of our cybersecurity architecture & assurance team, and we are looking for an experienced professional to join us.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on new areas in security to input to cyber strategy.
- Design cyber security solutions in line with best practices to ensure deployment of best-in-class solutions.
- Define cyber security technical requirements and acceptance criteria for new systems.
- Conduct proof of concepts for cyber security solutions.
- Lead in testing, implementation, deployment, and commissioning of new solutions.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery in accordance with best practices for solutions deployed.
- Ensure proper change management and system handover processes are followed.
- Recommend major upgrades where required and work with the operations team to implement.
- Ensure all security programs are continually improved to maximize on their returns/benefits.
- Conduct knowledge transfer to other team members/staff on new or topical areas.
Requirements
Skills in network security, cloud security, and cybersecurity frameworks are essential for this role. Experience with AWS and Hub is highly desirable. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP are an advantage.
Salary & Benefits
Salary range: R800 000 – R1 200 000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive pension scheme, medical aid, and annual leave entitlement.
