About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Brazer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brazing and refrigeration, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect all components and piping on the unit in accordance with the Production Request Form to ensure correctness and completeness prior to assembly
- Fit and assemble components onto the unit as specified
- Prepare pipes in accordance with departmental requirements and specifications
- Clean and prepare all surfaces prior to brazing to ensure proper adhesion and joint integrity
- Perform brazing of all fitted pipes and components in line with approved procedures and quality standards
- Clean the unit and surrounding work area upon completion of the brazing process
- Conduct pressure testing on completed units to identify and rectify any leaks
- Paint pipes and perform necessary touch-ups once work is finalised
- Fit capillaries and ensure that all nuts and bolts are tightened and torqued in accordance with the departments Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and ensure a safe and organised work environment
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 35 years brazing experience within a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 13 years experience in a refrigeration environment
