About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our team in Midrand. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate classes on-campus, contributing to course development, and providing support to students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate classes on-campus meeting high-quality standards
- Fulfil the teaching requirements of the course to the highest standard possible
- Contribute to course and/or module development and/or review
- Assist in the development and delivery of practical hands-on laboratory and workshop sessions on campus
- Review and edit course teaching materials and liaise with other teaching staff
- Consult with and support on-campus students for the module/s being taught
- Participate in Programme Advisory Committees, Board of Studies and other faculty meetings as applicable
- Provide support for other positions during absences
- Quality enhancement of module/s and/or programme through responding to formal and informal student feedback and self-reflection
Requirements
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering
- At least five (5) years of significant industry experience
- Practical industry experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in the conceptualisation, development, and successful completion of high-calibre academic research projects
